Our curriculum
Through our curriculum at St James’ CE Academy School, we aim to help all our pupils learn and achieve by developing:
- an understanding of faith and diversity
- enthusiasm for, and enjoyment of learning
- enquiring minds and the ability to think creatively, rationally and critically
- confidence and self esteem to enable life long learning
- aspirations and motivation for future success
- the basic skills, abilities and knowledge necessary for their whole lives, in work and leisure, so they become responsible and caring citizens who make a positive contribution to their local community, the city of Kingston upon Hull and beyond
- the ability to work, both independently and co-operatively, with concentration and perseverance
- a clear sense of right and wrong
- the ability to make informed choices, manage risk and to cope with change and adversity
- an appreciation of the efforts and achievements of others
